Home Friendly | 3pm Saturday 3rd August | vs Rio Ave l Match Thread

Don't if it's been said elsewhere and I've missed it, but Ave are owned by Evangelos Marinakis who also owns Nottm Forest and Olympiacos. Apparently, he's worth $3.1 billion.

Half time thoughts:

Vigouroux hasnt had much to do defensively, distribution has been excellent
Key quiet mostly but some promising link up moments with Eom
Ben has been a little slow to the ball sometimes and slow on it missing promising runs and players in offensive space
Darling has put a few passes loose, mostly when we try to speed up the tempo to beat the press
Tymon has put in one or two nice crosses, not really overlapped and attacked much though
Grimes has been well... Grimes. He comes short picks up the ball and then passes it short to a defender
Fulton looks lost, other than the goal which was a tap in he tackled Eom when he was in behind and mostly drifts
Franco has been everywhere, winning the ball back and some nice link up play
Abdulai looks guilty of trying too hard at the moment, over running the ball and losing possession a bit
Eom has been excellent, best player on the pitch first half for me
Cullen has covered ground, pressed loads but not had any real service to thrive off of

Why are 2 of the subs having a kick about wearing yellow shorts and socks?

Reckon we will see mass substitutions somewhere around the 70th minute mark

Opposition not really presenting much in the way of opposition.
