Hearing unbelievable stories of people with issues other than covid now causing a backlog.

How concerned should we be?
Plus is a "firebreak" inevitable?

I'm not sure what's for the best anymore.

Embarrassing for this Welsh 'government', asking the MOD for help! And some individuals think we'll be ok away from the Union...as that big girls blouse would say, "FÙCK MY EYES!".

The most embarrassing thing is the amount of wânkers phoning 999 and going to A&E when they don’t need to.

Absolutely.

Each medical centre should become a 'first port of call' centre, where the on duty doctor would recommend or not the individual going to a&e. These medical centres should operate 24/7, this in itself would alleviate waiting times at the hospital and keep the time wasters away.

Yeah Dickie. The capacity of the NHS has been run down for years, decades. All under the guise of efficiency gains. All that means is no capacity to deal with anything above baseload. Even coping with baseloads wass proving to be a struggle before the pandemic. The NHS was woefully unprepared for a pandemic (through no fault of their own).

People don't value it when it matters (at the ballot box). Too many people are happy to use it and be seen to clap for it, but they don't value it.

Very nasty road accident at Nine Wells, near Solva, last week. Fire Brigade having to cut people out of badly damaged vehicles, one casualty being a 90 year old lady. Ambulance took over 3 hours to attend the scene, don’t know the end result, hope the elderly lady is ok.

Doctor’s surgeries were disgrace before this epidemic became a pandemic. They were the first to lock their doors. A captain goes down with its ship, they should hang their heads in shame.

"What is a GP?" someone commented the other day on a comments page.
They aren't half getting some stick.

Covid has been a great excuse to close doors even when on times the situation as eased, phone the surgery and even trying to speak to someone you have to jump through hoops.

My lad was rushed into Morriston just over a fortnight ago, he was there for 10 days and A&E was bedlam virtually all times of the day, A&E Ambulance bays, were full spilling over into car park, surgeries should be taking up the slack with some of these patients, its more than obvious that the vast majority shouldn't be there,

Our surgery has been brilliant with Amy all the way through COVID I’ve got to be honest.
Anything we’ve needed has been on the desk to pick up within hours.

I know if my elderly parent was stuck in an ambulance outside Morriston A&E for 12 hours with a broken hip or whatever I would be spitting feathers. I've done it with my ex Mum a few years back for about 3 hours and it was hideous.

Health is a devolved issue and the Senedd is technically responsible for the glaring NHS deficiencies at the moment, but they cannot be held responsible for a global pandemic, a lack of personnel exacerbated by Brexit, and the bedblocking that results in masses of elderly patients spending weeks in hospital wards unnecessarily due to a lack of funding in the social care sector that BJ has found so difficult to resolve within the last couple of weeks.

My old Mum's care costed £32 k a year in a care home in Pontarddulais, and she was there for 4 years. Care home costs are astronomical. It didn't help that the care home owner in question drove a new Bentley and his missus had an AMG Mercedes.
