Yes, sliders slip onto the foot, a bit like sandles without the staps, flip-flops go between the toes and in my opinion are a pain in the ass.

Those slider things murder my feet they rub like fuck making my feet sore just above the toes, that's probably why most seem to wear socks with the, which defeats the object for me, not a fan of flip flops either, the crossover flipflop type are my go to, similar to these
