I'm suprised Bury are that low having scored at least 1000 goals in each of the top divisions

Be interesting if there was a way to introduce recency bias to the results. Make recent seasons worth more than 100 years ago somehow.
That's what I'm thinking to put in, create a table based on the last 50 years for example, make the time period a variable I input. Another thing I'm thinking is between a start and end year to see the best teams over a specific period.
All good for practicing coding :

Where’s that the third division?
ABSwan said:Which means they scored more than a 1000 goals in all 4 divisions, the 4th being the only one they have a positive GD.
Scoring more than a 1000 goals in all 4 divisions is a rare achievement, some quick filtering found that only two teams have this achievement, one being Bury, who can guess the other???

Someone like Blackpool or Bolton?
in the Premier League era they are 9th overall with a minus 84 goal diff.ABSwan said:Blackpooljack said:Saw a similar league table that had Aston Villa similarly that high up but incredibly with a minus goal difference.
Their record below shows a total plus 746
TEAM Aston Villa
RATING 7373
TOTAL SEASONS 121
TOTAL PLAYED 4760
TOTAL WON 1942
TOTAL DRAWN 1149
TOTAL LOST 1669
TOTAL SCORED 7606
TOTAL CONCEDED 6860
TOTAL GOAL DIF 746
TOTAL POINTS 5582
This includes 106 seasons in the top flight with a +505 GD, 13 seasons at the second level with +180 GD and 2 seasons in the third level with a GD +61.
So unless that table was based on all matches (all cups included) and the cups they conceded more than 750 goals more than scored.
i thought Bury were the only team but there you go, am interested to know who the other team isABSwan said:Blackpooljack said:I'm suprised Bury are that low having scored at least 1000 goals in each of the top divisions

Where’s that the third division?
A few more good seasons will see our rightful place rise to the 2nd division lol.
