I'm Told Grimes is The Club Captain.

Usually any tweet even remotely critical of Grimes is descended upon by hordes of Flying Monkeys, all keen to reiterate how clearly Premier League quality he is and don't we know how lucky we are to have someone with a pass completion rate of eleventy million percent and 85 successful passes in the final third that almost never actually lead to anything.

Today, nothing.

I can't speak for all of us who have been convinced for a good four or five years now that we'll never consistently play high tempo, attacking football with a team built around him, but for me it feels like the mood is definitely shifting on the subject.

Just me and you Dr.. saw it then, now they're seeing it.. can't wait until we see a midfield that doesn't contain Grimes, just to give it a go like, it's been a 7 year failure

From memory the only game he's missed in recent seasons was one where he was suspended (I think against Luton) and the team played in much the same way without him as it did with. Would like to see a run of games without.

It'll never happen, he hasn't had a good game in how many now, deserves to be dropped, but who've we got Fulton? And we binned off Abdulai

Manager needs to show a sign of strength and drop him along with a few others. I don't buy in to this we haven't got anyone else to play instead of them.

They think they are indispensable and that shows with their lack of effort or interest.

We could probablyt have swapped him with Fulton at any point in the past to no discernible effect. Fairly sure even a Fulton past his prime can complete 75-80% of ten yard passes. Fulton scores more from open play too. And wouldn't feel the need to fuck up most set pieces.

The last time one of our very twpest managers rested Matty was Southampton in the Cup.

Martin made Downs captain and CDM - warra complete fack-up that was - Downs was completely bamboozled, flummoxed and way out of his depth with the complexity of Martin's bonkers system - until Matty came on 2nd half to rescue the situation and take us into extra time.

Matty - The last remaining shred, our corporate glue to our proper playing heritage.

Why is he still here?

I've backed Grimes many times over the past few years, (I've got his shirt on my wall), but I can't put up a case for him anymore, and that goes for the rest of the frauds.
As Lisa and others have said time and again, our club is rotten, from root to branch...
