• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Is it to early..

To think about a change in management?
I know we’re only three games in, but can we see things progressing under the current management? I for one would like to give Russ 10-12 games, but will we be playing catch up by then?

I thought he’d be safe until the World Cup break, but the way we’re going he might be out by the nations league games… serious improvement needed. Expect us to lose on Saturday but things could start to get ugly if the next two home games go the same way as Blackburn.

Blackpool Milwall Luton & M boro next up, can’t see many points picked up in these if I’m honest.

As much as he’s p!ssed me off, I think we have to give him the rest of the window to see who else is brought in, and then probably up to the World Cup break.

IMO, it is too early but if we don't pick up any points from the next 4 games or even just 1 or 2, we'll be in the bottom 3 and staring down the barrel and near breaking point. Something needs to change to change our fortunes but If RM is too stubborn to change things, he will be on very thin ice.

Blackpool unbeaten in 9 league games against us

Had some horror shows against them, the 6-3 under Roberto at home, 5-1 under Sousa. Bad memories!

Yeah, although the 6 - 3 under Roberto was a freak game under freak circumstances.

Absolutely. I actually quite enjoyed it as I remember the team really going for it. Andy Morrell scored three or four goals didn't he? Maybe I'm exaggerating :D

That 5-1 came out of nowhere as well, we'd been grinding out a ton of 1-0 wins just before and then got absolutely wallopped up there. Miserable night, I think we had Cedric vdg playing at left back for some reason, and then they went on to nick our playoff place.

Morrell scored four, which included at least two chips over Willy Gueret standing in no mans land! Izzy scored two for us I think.
