• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

One point from the nine available...

That headline rings very true. Folk complain (me included) about how uninspiring the football was under Steve Cooper, however nobody can really argue against the league positions that he achieved. His stock will be infinitely higher than that of Martin.

People argue quite rightly it's only 5 games. RM has had the opportunities to address the frailties of last season of which he failed to win any of our last 6 games in which we took a couple of spankings. If fans had seen something they could grasp to say yes I'm seeing an improvement and change I don't think there would be so much unrest. However we are not except for the occasional glimpse of a decent performance. When can we expect our next fist pump?

This season has the feel of an inevitable downward spiral about it, hope I'm wrong but just not seeing much hope at the moment, the players ain't getting it or buying into it and the manager needs a spell in the coed.

The biggest consolation i can take from this shitshow is that if we do get rid of RM at least he has laid the foundation of a possession based game that hopefully a proper manager can take forward into a cohesive gameplan that isnt slavishly devoted to possession by numbers.
