• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Never know mate it might still come off but seems like it's not as close as Romano's tweet suggests
You need to start searching a players name after Vital mentions it. Guarantee you that you’ll find someone else has said it before him. He’s not the only one that does it mind.

That's true without a doubt. But I'd probably believe him more for example when he says this is off. Certainly compared to certain individuals.

But who knows.

Yes could be a 4 year deal 15k a week .
800 grand transfer fee for example

£4m almost certainly would mean including add ons.
Would be surprised if the up front fee is more than half of that

This would certainly be a statement of intent.

My only gripe would be that a midfield of this guy, Widell and Franco would be on the defensive side as none are out and out attacking mids from what I can tell, so our issue of creative chances may not be resolved.

That being said, if this is true, no one can say the "new" guys aren't putting their money where their mouth is.

Widell is definitely an attacking midfield player
He has 13 assists and 7 goals in 59 games and is called out on the Swans site too as a player who can play attacking midfield through the centre or on the wings

In other words the #10 we've been crying out for since, well, relegation.

I don't know if I want this link to be true given his age and value but the reality is that Fabrizio Romano is saying it's on but vital Swansea are saying it's not!
Either way it just goes to show how totally fucking loopy this modern world of social media is.

Would it though? If he was that good why would Man C be prepared to let him go? They’d normally loan players out until 21/22 to see if they can really kick on.

Providing the full value of a likely deal is odd too. It suggests they’re trying to placate fans by giving the maximum possible value.

For comparison, Grimes’ Coventry package would be around £11 million (based on a guess of 35k salary over 4 yrs plus fee).

It sounds a bit smoke and mirrors to me (much like the much publicist £20 million investment, which is sweet FA in this league).

I guess City have form for letting quality go, Palmer, Sancho, Gittens, Delay. There's quite a long list.
