Fair play, I didn’t think he could cut it, thought he would be a Jonny Williams type. Looks like he has found his spiritual home. On his way to becoming a legend.

I'm aware this comparison may have little basis in reality, but something about the way he's playing at the moment reminds me of Kevin McLeod when he had that incredible run of form in our first season in the new stadium.

Is that the period when McLeod scored from the corner he took.

Yep, that was his first of three against Bristol City I think?

Probably helps that he's playing alongside a forward like Piroe, who just "gets" him as a creative partner. Something we haven't really had since Bony and Sigurdsson.

Needs a new contract, been a breath of fresh air and has certainly exceeded my expectations

Ntcham is the key player if we are to get to the promised land. Patterson and the rest of the team are improving and this will help Ntcham to flourish. Having Obafemi available is also a big bonus.

We still haven't seen anything like half of what Ntcham is capable of IMO. Even more so for Obafemi.

We need to keep him away from Wind Street then. 😇😇

Great innit Doc.

This is the best midfield for effort I've seen in many a moon.
We are still a work in progress and I think Ntcham looks like he's itching to become a regular.

If those 2 produce to a good level, what a superb transfer window it will have been, especially given the constraints we would have been under with the manager situation dragging on. I think transfers have been pretty good under Scott overall, but he may just have done his best work yet.

If Piroe keeps on scoring, we could end up in a situation like Norwich with Pukki (get promoted and be able to keep him) or Brentford with Watkins and others (sell him for a big fee and spend part of it on a quality replacement). Probably the best way for a club like us to be sustainable financially.

Pato is only on a one year contract with the option of another 12 months, time to tie him down to a 3 year me thinks...

Given the involvement of Scott I suspect the Brentford model is one we have wholly embraced. A good striker can easily return 4x your outlay after one good Championship season, and they turned over a few. Hit the jackpot with someone like Piroe and it's maybe 20x.

Spend 3/4 on the side, tuck the rest away for later. Nice business if you can pull it off consistently.

You can really feel the hurt over the derby result and Cardiff's terrible form can't you? Trying to make out that signing an injured 29 year old free agent to a 1-year deal was a bad thing now he's playing well, when it's actually a 2-year deal if he plays enough this year. Anything to shift the focus from their disaster of a club.
