• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Superb and very close fight. What the judge who scored it 116-111 was on I’ll never know. A draw wouldn’t have been a travesty but chuffed for the Welsh boy.

God knows what that judge was watching with that score, you're right a draw was would have been a fairer decision, to win a World Title you need to clearly show dominance in the fight to beat the champion and that fight was far to close for Cordina to have clearly beaten Rakhimov, in fact Rakihimov probably should have got the decision, he was busier and buzzed Cordina several times throughout the fight, Cordina could have won the fight inside the distance if he had followed up on the shots that buzzed Rakhimov but he didn't want to get tangled into a slugfest.

Cracking contest though.

Just glad the Babic fight on Sky Sports finished as quick as it did, as I would have missed a lot of the Cordina fight, Babic the odds on favourite was stopped in the first round, so much for being the favourite

Not sure I agree that a challenger has to clearly win a fight to take the title. Any win on the scorecards is a win, as subjective as that can be sometimes. But I do agree about last night’s fight. Any of the three possible decisions would have been justified and no one could have had any complaints. 116-111 was ridiculous though.

Good luck to him, but Rakhimov can count himself unlucky.

In all honesty, Rachimov could possibly have never held the title at all if Cordina hadn't broken his hand in training before their fight last year, meaning he had the title stripped from him, leaving Rachimov to fight Barrett for the vacant title.

So at least he does have world champion on his CV.

Top fighter. Should be glad Shakur Stevenson has decided to move up a weight however.
