I've followed Joe's career at Spurs because he is a talented ex Swan from Llangyfelach that will be a significant talent in the Welsh defence hopefully for years to come, along with Ben...

.. which brings me to question, after a decent start for Spurs in several games, he has not been included in a game squad for weeks. No injuries mentioned, and no info on the net?

An established Welsh centre back in the Spurs squad can only be good for Welsh international football. Hope Jose starts to use him again soon.

Don't know how accurate it is, Bryn, but on the Flash Score match details, as well as naming the starting 11 and subs, they list missing players. They have Joe down on that as injured.

I saw it being suggested that he was in Jose's doghouse, not an easy place to get out of. No idea if that's true or not mind.

Hope he hasn't become the new Luke Shaw under the special one.

Spurs want Vestergaard from Southampton as well, looks like the wrong move for Joe.

Fan talk in Tottenham (I have connections) at the time was Jose really wasn't interested in Rodon.

It seemed more likely Birch influenced that transfer and now he’s left Spurs

Don't know anything about Flash Score but he's not listed as injured on https://www.premierinjuries.com/injury-table.php

As an aside, if you don't know the website Flash Score, you should check it out. Very useful for keeping you up to date with matches on your mobile when you're out and about. As the name implies, it gives you a summary of the live, up to the second situation for all and any matches you're interested in. It shows all the main things that have happened, e.g. goals, assists, cards, subs, line ups, live league table, and you can switch to the stats for the match, e.g. possession, shots on target, off target, dangerous attacks, etc, etc.
It also shows thing like fixtures, past results, top scorers. You can select which leagues you want details from, and it covers matches throughout the world. I have the Prem, Championship, Leagues 1 & 2, National League and Spanish league selected on mine.
It's a statto's wet dream!

In 'dangerous attacks' section of the stats for the Boro game, does it mention Ryan Manning's off the ball assault on Dijksteel?

The fact that all these Spuds fans are all over twitter asking where he is based on the limited game time he's had shows he doesn't deserve to have disappeared from their squad. There's even some guy who's made a video of all his tackles and interceptions in the Liverpool game. He of course made a howler for the goal in that match, but did play the 90 minutes in the following match.

Flashscore originally had him down as 'not in squad' but have now updated it to 'injured' for the 8 matches preceding yesterday's match, so they must have received some new information. According to the new details they have, yesterday was only the second time he's failed to make the match squad when available since the start of the year.

There have been a couple of articles in the London press over the last month by Spurs following journalists asking where he is. No mention of injury, just puzzlement as to why he isn’t in the squad.

Selected for the Wales squad today and mention of Ramsey’s selection whilst injured but no mention of any injury to Joe.

No Dave, it doesn't. I'm going to write to them to suggest they add "number of spurious verbal attacks by gobby opposition managers"

Obviously Birch would have been involved and we should thank him. Rodon was leaving no matter what and we got a very good for a player that was always going to struggle for game time at Spurs.

I guess you omitted the word 'fee' by accident. Even with the word included your sentence is not really looking at big picture, who is to say that Rodon was going to struggle for appearances next season or thereafter? I'd say that we did not get full value for a player who was i) under contract, ii) a full international and commanding a starting place in his international team, iii) playing for a team with a solid defensive backbone, iv) young, v) British / home grown, vi) playing beyond his years at the time of sale.
