• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

We could have i know where your coming from on that front. We looked decent last night in our build up still lacking the cutting edge up top like we have done for so long

Wholeheartedly agree with that. Would have been nice to have given Martin a proper hand to play with as it feels we've wasted the good ones we've had over the past two years.

Surely 0% chance of him even having a sniff of action with Spurs under Conte, cheeky loan bid in January? No other Premier League clubs lined up when Spurs bought him.

Great shout, deff needs looking at, be amazed if RM hadn't looked into this.

Think we might have a very good chance of it happening providing Martin wants a CB, no doubt Potter has given him a glowing reference.

While Guehi is flying for Palace.

Surprised by how much Rodon's career has stalled but this is now three managers in a row if you include Mason who hasn't fancied him. He looks a level above when playing for Wales.

Yeah, it would be really great to get a PL CB on loan.

Not so sure, id be happy to have him dont get me wrong the current set up would suit him IMHO. If Ben or Bennet are not what RM requires lets identify a replacement and try and get him. We need a spine like before thats ours if we go up on long term contracts so Piroe, Downs Ntcham Etc need to be retained and adding to the squad loanees masks problems.EG all of our pace at the moment is supplied by Laird and hes not ours?

I think the way we play now would suit him perfectly, ball playing centre half, would improve us aerially aswell. I can't see them loaning him out though unfortunately.

That would be such a strong spine, one that would take us keep us in the Prem

Rodon, Downes, Ntcham, Piroe

Not disagreeing but we will need to replace our entire back line to go up and stay up thats a fact. Add Paterson to the above, my point is id rather buy a ball playing CH and dont think we are in a position to get Joe,

What 3 different managers have seen to start Dier ahead of Joe is baffling.
Joe must surely be in his agents ear telling him to get a move away? He could walk into any defence in the Championship and the majority of them in the PL too.

I wouldn’t replace naughton. We’d need another centre half to cover Bennett at least though.

Would absolutely love to see Rodon back with us but can’t see it happening.

A good move for him would be the barcodes. A vast improvement on what they’ve got so guaranteed to play, he’d have the chance to prove himself before they start signing galacticos around him next summer. They’ll be able to attract enough good players in January to avoid the drop.

Spurs fans are hoping he’s going to play under Conte… they really rate him.

Conte coming in will give Rodon and all the other players a fresh start. There’s a lot of defensiveness in the Italian game, if Conte sees something in Rodon hopefully he’ll get his coaches working with Joe and give him the opportunities he needs.
