That'll teach me not to read the reviews. Just returned from the cinema having watched the biggest pile of horseshit to ever be screened. Anyone think of taking their partners....don't!
And I avoided going down the stadium cos of lack of entertainment...Jesus wept.

I thought the first one was a decent film, albeit massively overrated, but it was also a massive rip off and I’m amazed Scorsese didn’t sue. Not seen the second one and probably won’t be rushing to now.

Just watched Deadpool and Wolverine and laughed all the way through it. Job done.

Just finished Peaky Blinders, quite enjoyed! What amazes me, and I'm not sure how based on actual history it is, but one thing that struck me is, that women were not allowed in pubs unaccompanied by a male in say 1918? Around my grandparents days.

It's a great show, and makes you think about history. There was one point in it, it seems ancient yet as I was watching it, I was thinking jesus christ that's a few years before my parents were born.. It was when Oswald Mosley came into it.

Edit: I should say the latter stages of Mosleys appearance in it

I walked into the bar of Briton Ferry Workingmens Club with my girlfriend in 1982 and committeemen came running from everywhere because females weren’t allowed in the bar.

Yeah I know mate it's crazy, but one thing I will say, some series are way better, when they have reached their conclusion, not that I intended to do it with peaky Blinders, but when you can binge watch to the end, it seems better?

One series I am right into at the moment is House of Dragons, now from what I have read next season is out 2026.. 2 bloody years!!, all the drama has faded by then.. :(

Got a few lined up to watch From, Slow Horses, Tulsa King, Cobra Kai, just waiting for them to reach the end of their current new seasons.

Btw From is brilliant.

Yes, I have witnessed that in workingmens clubs, 70's, early 80's, no women allowed, in male bar area but this seemed every pub, like women could not go into any pubs unless accompanied by a male.
