• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

We need an upgrade at right back, he's not good enough at this level.

Bollox Smurph, with respect. He’s a decent Championship defender.

The fact some are looking at players like Key and thinking they’re a weak link shows how far we’ve come in the last year or two.

He's no Rangel but the way some bang on about him, you'd think we had Tate at right-back again or something. He's definitely the new scapegoat with Grimes gone and with Fulton and Cullen on the bench.

He's all over the place, zero threat going forward and a liability upon times.

At least Tatey knew how to defend.

Tate was miles better than Key

I quite like Key going forward. When he’s at his best he can be very good, the trade off is obviously in defence at times and I think that goes for both our fullbacks. I don’t always feel confident when they’re defending 1v1. I would like to see Key getting a few more crosses in, I think that’s where he could improve but otherwise we know we don’t have particularly defensive minded fullbacks.

Key is a good crosser and have an adequate attacking sense. On the other hand, his dribbling is poor and he is slowwww which expose us to danger every time he is caught out of possession. As I wrote before, Parker should get a run at the starting eleven, He is quick and can develop. I wondered what would have happened to Ben Davies if Neil Taylor hadn’t been injured.

His ability and commitment is superb, just a question mark over his match fitness. Looks to me like he needs a bit of extra help with hip rotation because he often gets "frozen" on the spot.

I don’t think anyone is saying that Key is complete or another Cafu, but he is good enough for this level.
