Speed, acceleration and physical attributes can definitely be improved by the strength and conditioning coach, if that’s what a manager deems they need to focus on.
According to this logic, everyone, with the right coaching, can eventually become Usain Bolt, but the reality is that each of us has a ceiling, and for me, Key’s ceiling is inadequate to the championship (And again, there are other issues such as his defensive sense). If our target is roaming around the bottom half of the table, keep him. But if we are aiming higher, we should look for replacements.

Not sure how you have come to that idea. Bolt never just got out of bed and ran sub 10 seconds did he. He had training and coaching to get there.
I have worked as an EFL physio and part strength and conditioning and there’s much you can do to improve physical attributes.

He might already be at his ceiling if there was a plan put him place to work on those specifics but I’m unsure if he has or his age etc

Also EOM spent the summer hols with a strength and conditioning coach to work on explosive power, speed and agility.

Apologies I have misread part of your post. Everyone does have a ceiling but I very much don’t they all work on them to the extent that they can as there is so much else to manage and balance

He has made lots and lots of mistakes, and has tended to give the ball away at times, but has always looked better going forwards. His short cameo appearances against wba, where he showed his skills for a lovely assist, in place of Ronald McDonald out wide, was a joy to see.
Give me Key out wide, as opposed to Ronald any day of the week.
Especially with a new manager & assistants, bringing new ideas for him to progress.
He’s still young, by no means slow, can shoot (remember that long range effort) and can cross a ball.
I honestly think there’s a good player in there, who with the right coaching, could do a job out wide.
