• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I think you are a history revisionist.
We would all like to have seen them score more goals and attack more but seem to remember some brilliant moments from the likes of Roberts, Cabango, Guehi, and others.
We could have done a lot better with a different coach mind

A few moments of good football in an otherwise low scoring, low attacking, low shot two seasons.

164 shots on target last season. Or between 3 and 4 a game if you prefer. 11th best in the league.

478 shots in total. Just over 10 a game. 19th best in the league.

56 goals. 9th best in the league.

Those stats don't happen if you're an attacking team.
Stats aren't everything.
Ayew was not the only one to show flair, indeed some games or parts of games he would go missing.
However apart from Ayew, and contributions by Lowe and others (less than I would have liked ), there were times when we failed to win games we should have won.
The fear factor set in culminating in the no show at the final.
We have flair players, hopefully the shackles will be off come Saturday

I think we agree with each other.

I just think that some players were stifled by Coopers style of play. Maybe Mr Martin will let the boys play with a bit more freedom, bit more panache. It was all a bit laboured and very tedious to watch, god knows what the player thought.
Anyway here's hoping.

I suspect we may see more entertaining football, however I doubt very much that we will finish anywhere near as high. So what’s your potion is the question? Entertaining football it may be but the season will probably be boring for other reasons - we hover around lower mid table all season. Just a thought! Comments please?

Well hovering around mid to lower table will be stressful, however,if we finish mid table, with entertaining football, along side building for the next season, I'll take that all day long, the last couple of seasons have been dour, to say the least, albeit we were in with a chance of promotion.Only time will tell. Opinion will no doubt differ greatly.👍
