Folk panic buying petrol, now some stations are having to close because they've been run dry.
Is it just a UK phenomenon, this siege mentality thing.

You couldn't make it up Dicky. Tesco, Llansamlet had run out of Diesel, and the garage on the Mumbles Road had to close, when we went past there this afternoon, the place was rammed, and on a side note where has all the traffic come from today, haven't seen it so busy for ages.

Surely those in power, or with influence, should know by now that you never, EVER, tell the public in the UK to not panic buy.

Because as sure as shit stinks, they will PANIC buy!

Spot on. When ministers tell people there's no need to panic buy you know there's a serious issue. I have sympathy with anyone who relies on their vehicle for their livelihood and don't blame them for topping up.

The visa's are already in place, it's just lorry drivers are not eligible for them. Ballerinas are though, genuinely :lol:

Because todays youngsters don't want to be lorry drivers, they all want to be in IT, or marketing or something more glamorous than a trucker, even though it's really good wages.
