"Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)" number 1 37 years after release. Great song IMO. They reckon she's made about £1m in royalties in the last MONTH!

Was talking to my Mrs about it a little while ago and trying to think of the last time I had the chart topper in my music collection and reckon it was probably "Pure Shores" by All Saints in Feb 2002😉

Her politics were dreadful, but I've always loved her music, and she was so uber sexy in the late 80's...always gone for girls that look like her...

Wuthering Heights was a whole new listening direction for me when released , bought " The Kick Inside " cassette , who remembers them , on the strength of that track .

Regarding your chart topping collection , I will raise you , and confess my ownership of the first two albums by the Scissors Sisters .

The singles were not even her best songs just the most commercial , every album was superb

My favourite of her albums is "The Dreaming", some very dark moments on that and I like that my music.

Just saying Bryn. Can't see that she'd need to dissemble about it.

Ta for that Monnie.....I seem to recall she was a celebrity attendee at Thatcher Tory promos back in the 80's, but it would appear she was there to promote Thatcher as she was female...

Glad to know she's not a Tory...she's now even more perfect in my book...
