Chagos deal, overseas funding, including Ukraine, and the elephant in the room immigration costs, the removal of the two child cap, the benefit system which is encouraging people to stay in bed all all day or sit on their arses all day, the average working household would need to earn over 75k to much some of those on benefits.

I'm sorry Max, but a lot of that is nonsense and backs up what ECB and jack_lord have said earlier in the thread about the influence of the media and social media.

As someone who works with unemployed people, while there are many, many issues with the benefits system, encouraging people to stay in bed all day is rarely one of those issues.

The inheritance tax threshold is £500k if the main home is included. If there's more than that, I don't think any offspring is going to be on the breadline after they pay the tax.
That's ok then

Taxes have been paid on that inheritance over and over before any siblings get their hands on it, its like savings tax has already been paid on the money has been saved and invested and then they tax the interest that has been accrued over that investment.

If you're married your spouse gets everything free of inheritance tax and inherits your allowance. If you own a property that gives the surviving person £1 million to pass on without any tax implications.

And David Cameron is solely responsible for most of the current mess this country is in.
You’re not wrong on this. Cameron, Osborne (his chancellor) and May caused no end of damage to the country.
Then we had the serial liar and oaf that is Boris, bloke was caught lying numerous times and only went when his ministers started resigning after he’d been caught out lying over Pincher.
Next we had Truss, another disaster - it’s a good job she only last 40 days - her budget was enough of a disaster.

On reflection, Sunak was the best of the bunch but given the quality of his predecessors it was never going to take much.

I had high hopes for Starmer, he’s a bright guy but has had his own share of lemons around him. He's made mistakes, but the right wing press are defo out to get him.

I wonder what other secrets the Epstein files contain, the UK has taken action against the 2 people from here named in the files, but nowt has happened Stateside.

So "some" people on benefits don't have multiple holidays a year then, yes you're right about the perception of social media etc, but its happening, I can work in-between 3 to 5 different properties over my working day and I see it for myself genuinely.
I often come home especially if I've had a bad day, today I got soaked twice dried off in van first time second time I went home with my clothes wet/damp and I often think to pack it all in and play on the genuine facts that I've discomfort in my knees back shoulders etc, but no I still get up in the mornings and go to work like millions of others younger and older than me.

Truss lasted 40 days and the Queen died during that time and the country stood still for a fortnight. She wouldn't have lasted a month normally.

As someone who is left of centre and does agree with a Keynesian approach to managing the economy doesn't mean I don't get pissed off with your examples above. I have had to work at least one in three weekends for the last 30 years and my family have suffered for it while I listen and see examples of jobless folk "having an easy life". I do understand though that these are not the norm as Multi nationals avoiding billions upon billlions of tax payments are. Maybe if the latter stumped up then the revenue would reduce our input and give opportunities to those that you see.
The world is a very very different place from when the Labour party was formed but you can thank them for very many things which is difficult to say about other parties.
