Another poor football manager, continuing to make a very lucrative living out of achieving very little...

Poor might be a little harsh, I'd say average football league manager.

He took us, Millwall and Wolves to promotion, while Portsmouth made the playoffs 2 seasons in a row under him and won the EFL trophy. They missed out on the playoffs this season after sacking him in December.

There's a lot of worse managers out there earning a living.

His track record would suggest that he's actually a well above average football league manager. Not to everyone's liking in terms of style, but he's worked consistently in the field for 20+ years winning a few promotions and pots along the way.

Very few can say that.

My guess is someone heard the chairman playing an old Phil Collins album and took him literally

Did ok for us. Feted by those who lack imagination.

When we were good we were good but when we were bad we were fucking awful and predictable. He lost his way when he started buying players who had good games against us and did nothing else.

Lots of Swans fans I know hold Kenny in high regard because it was the start of the first proper success they knew with the club. Many started following the club around the time of the great escape so missed out on the 2001 promotion and under Kenny we started to go places. We had an exciting and interesting team with Robbo, Trunds, Leon, Tate, Monk, Roberto, Austin, Izzy, Willy et al and playing at a full and noisey vetch field most weeks. It was the start of the ascent and prime is now pretty good nostalgia fodder for swans fans. Bury Away is still up there for me and it happened under Kenny.

We were pretty mediocre when he joined us. No way did we think we were good enough for championship back in 2004.
Some have forgotten the arses we had "manage" us. Micky adams anyone?

No disrespect intended, but I’d have to disagree with you. He’s a decent manager with a good track record, Orient could do a lot worse than Kenny Jackett.

His time in charge is also tied up with a lot of nostalgia. He got us promoted in the Vetch's final year (in just about the most exciting and tense way possible) and took us to within a couple of missed penalties of back-to-back promotions in the first season at the new stadium.

His legacy is probably diminished to some fans because of just how successful we became under his successors. If we hadn't appointed Roberto to replace him, then there's a good chance he'd be held in higher regard.

As well as the Bury game, I have fond memories of the 7-1 Bristol City game, Leon Knight's hat-trick debut, beating Brentford in the playoffs, Trundle's wonder goal against Yeovil, 2 memorable (for different reasons) trips to the Millennium which both featured stunning goals...

Have always like Orient, great club, hope he gets them up the leagues, an excellent coach and ex international player, it all started with Kenny
