Kit release?

Not quite. The home shirt is clearly a nod to the Evening Post shirt.

I made reference to the fact it has / had checks on it as it could play into a Croatia-esque away shirt to link with Modric (given the club is all over its sleb linkups at present).

It was a bit tongue in cheek to be honest.

BTW - great to see the old Swan back on the travel stuff albeit it’s very weird commercially to be using different club badges for different things.

That badge will always be the best for me.
So what do you think the logic is of the club asking Joma to resurrect the Evening Post kit from the 1996-97 season? As I posted the other day, of all the seasons you could reference, that's one of the worst in terms of ill omens. Huge hopes of progress cruelly dashed, ushering in a period of managerial instability and decline...

Well firstly they won’t know any of that.

And secondly, they’re obviously doing a trawl through archive kits as we’ve had the Gulf Oil one, the old badge, the even older badge on this year’s travel stuff, the nod to the old first division kit and now this Evening Post kit.

This faux rivalry will attract the live TV attention and therefore revenue.
Lets have derbies every week

Snoop Dog and the new Swans shirt made it onto BBC news this morning
Given there is no kit available to buy or pre order anyone with no previous interest who could have made an impulse purchase because of the Snoop Dogg publicity will be on to other things quite quickly.
It’s normally pretty high up in the to do list to make sure you can sell what you’re marketing before the moment is lost.

It all seems shambolic to me. Announcing Reviva as front of shirt sponsor when the picture from a few days ago shows them on the front of the shirt is completely ridiculous.

As is playing a game where fans are attending on the weekend with none of them able to get the new shirt to wear in time for the game.

Wrexhams shirt sales in the USA are giving them huge leverage wihin the FFP rules. If a SCFC shirt becomes a counter culture icon that would be no small matter.
Also Hollywood hype for the Welsh "Derby" would be a great revenue boost through being the live broadcast
Snoop is also a very well connected guy (not always in awholesome way) - but he sure moves in Billionaire circles (with a B)

People may be talking but there’s nothing for them to buy as the shirt is not available.

There is confusion here between people talking about us and it actually making a difference to our revenue. As yet we have no idea whether it will or not.
So it would be better if no one is talking about us then.

Righto.

Glad to see people have done a 180 turn regarding them and their “embarrassing circus” eh?

And some of you have the gall to say you wouldn’t be happy if what has happened to them with their Disney exposure happened to us. First sight of an extra couple of bob and you’re all for it all of a sudden. Football fans eh 😂😂

For those that are in the know how popular is the brand of coffee in the Swansea area to warrant front of shirt prime sponsorship. I appreciate people have their favourite be it Costa or Starbucks, apart from inside the stadium is the company that large that would warrant prime sponsorship, or has our target decreased to the amount Stretchout paid in 2000.

The company is Gulf Oil, Reviva is a brand of theirs. They are obviously aiming to increase profile of the brand through sponsorship of us, the WRU and Williams Racing.

We are involved because the CEO happens to be a Swans fan.
