Kind of hoping Martin is brave with his team selection tonight and that would mean no Korey Smith. He tries really hard but it’s totally unsuited to an attacking position in the team.

He’s OK going backwards if that’s RM’s master plan. Offers nothing proactive or positive. Fulton is a better option.

Really, wouldn't have either in the team realistically. Cabango and Roberts scored more goals between them (6) in the league last season than the whole of our 3 midfield players Grimes , Fulton and Smith ( 4 between them) . It was probably the main area why we didn't go up last season , it was slow with a lot of backwards and sideways passing with a total lack of creativity in it and I'm sorry but as much as people think Fulton is the answer he really isn't.

Got to agree, decent enough squad player and can fill in for Downes/Grimes as required, but shouldn't be playing as a 10. Need Ntcham, Wolf or Patterson there.

Ntcham and Wolf right now have to be our first choice attacking midfield positions

If Smith or Fulton are the answers we're asking the wrong questions.

I do find it strange that he is constantly played in AM position. He is not suited to a more advanced role but RM consistently plays players out of their usual position.
