Kyle Naughton

All im going to say is this, "better late than never" still in with an outside chance. But what gripes me is that if we had done this in earlier games we would be in the playoff position now comfortably. And why is nobody having a pop at MVDH that was pathetic, instead fans are calling for Coopers head.

PS: You know when you commit this type of pro foul its 50:50. Me watching at the time, was glad he did commit.

More an ankle tap than anything sinister.

I can't believe how many final warnings Figueiredo had after his yelow card! Even his manager realised he was running out of them when he substituted him.

Not sinister, but it could possibly be a nasty injury resulted from it, I snapped my Achilles for less, like Badlands I was shouting off when it happened, the stupid thing is there was a covering swans player there!

It was one of those tackles that you'd understand if he was the last man in on goal...Naughton was a bit silly to do it on the wing with 2 or 3 defenders back. It wasn't a particularly nice foot on the back of the leg of the opposing player.

Red? Probably a yellow to most refs, but I can kind of understand the red. If he was the last man it would 100% be a red.

It’s a clear take the man aka ‘professional foul’ which if it’s against your team/player you scream red every time but generally when it’s not the last man the ref admonishes & goes with the yellow, no need for it with others back but maybe Nauts fancied a longer break before he joins a new club for next season.

Not a particularly bad tackle, far more physical incidents during this game. w:

This.

Somewhat surprised to see the acceptance of the straight red by so many. Compared to some of the stuff committed by Forest players it was relatively tame. Late, but nowhere near dangerous. A yellow would have been ample punishment.

I agree yellow card offence.

‘Hacked him down’ he clipped him inside his own half.

Yeah, that Forest Centre Back goot booked then he committed at least 2 more fould before elbowing someone in the back of the head, we got a free kick and the Forest player got subbed later but for me he should have seen a second yellow. That was before Naughton ankle tapped and saw red, if that was a straight red we should have finished the game 5 a side!

It's nothing to do with the so called professional foul which is denying a scoring opportunity and carries a 1 match ban.

He brought his studs down the back of his calf/achilles which is violent conduct and will be a 3 match ban. He could easily have severely injured him and he knew what he'd done, put his hand up to apologise and walked off because he knew the red was inevitable.

It's annoying that they weren't down to 10 or 9 by then because the ref bottled second yellows.

It was also cowardly as well as futile.

Unusual for us to have reds cards all of a sudden.

Totally out of character for Kyle but a straight red for me (as should Forest have had 2 players red carded for yellows plus subsequent fouls).

He didn’t even need to make the foul - something obviously not right with him at that moment. Perhaps frustration at Cooper’s ineptitude- who knows?

Bye bye Kyle - been a good club player and very versatile.

No idea why he didn't just trip him which would have been a yellow - the usual take one for the team booking.
Instead the studs down the back of the achilles was a clear red.
Our best full back for the last 2 seasons but I don't suppose he'll play for us again- shame

It’s the no attempt whatsoever to play the ball which makes it a straight red, he took the man out deliberately from behind and he knew without even looking at the ref what he had done and it was a red. A Sunday league tackle that usually ends in a free for all, certainly not a great way to end his playing career for us and to be fair, not his usual style either 🤷🏻‍♂️
He’ll be disappointed with that 🧐

Frustration at the realisation that the season was effectively because of Cooper's inaction.

Let's be honest.
Few of this current staff would be missed apart from Ayew .

Our recruitment has killed the club .

Our Kylie always gave (or hopefully gives) 100% - maybe not quite established premier league standard, but better than championship. Great shot on him too, eg that one against Sunderland which eased a long trip home. Good player, excellent attitude. Oh and great taking throw-ins if the end of a game needs seeing out.
