• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Could we also get a retirement announcement for this man later today ? 😂😂 That might cheer me up.

His legs might have gone but his head was always making up for his lack of pace.
Great player for us. It’ll be quite emotional tomorrow. He and Joe will get a wonderful send off by the fans. 👏👏👏

Just watched his video and he got emotional a couple of times.
Really good watch and certainly respect him even more after watching it.

I saw him and Kyle Walker rip us apart playing for Sheffield Utd at Brammal Lane before he went to Spurs. Never thought he was nothing but the consummate professional.

Must have brought so much calm and confidence to the dressing room, he sounded quite emotional on the OS interview i began feeling quite teary myself.

Such a great servant to this club made a few errors but made many more important interventions to save us over the last 10 years.

Not surprising, the quality of pass is still there with the both of them, but they just can't run anymore, Joe especially was blowing out of his a*se at HT most weeks

It’s a shame how Joey’s second stint here panned out. Whichever home game it was recently when he started in the holding DM role, it was like he was rolling back the years. I was getting flashbacks to when he first made it into the team and, as daft as it sounds, getting a bit emotional about it. We haven’t seen anywhere near enough of that from him until now though (thanks to injuries and the previous useless managers).
