• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

With Alfie Boe on Sky Arts now, we went to London to go to that show a few years ago and it was fantastic.

Need to go back and see the Jersey Boys and one or two others as well.

I wasn't fussed on going to see it, it was our 40th anniversary and Mrs wanted to see it so ended up booking the tickets glad I did cause I really enjoyed Nov 2023 it was.
Wish I had seen it when Michael Ball and Alfie was in it though, they'd moved on by then.

My nephew was in stage school at Cockett for years, I saw his last show in the Dylan Thomas Theatre by the Pump house, it was excellent as was he, he walked away from it though he didn't want to do it anymore, more's the pity, he was very good at it.

That sounds like a huge shame. I'd love to have some form of musical talent.

Fair play out of the frying pan in to the fire lol

Wonder if it was anything to do with nerves? I'd end up shitting myself if I had to go on stage and perform in front of people.

I don't think so he's a very grounded lad he's doing his degrees etc at moment.

A real shame when you’ve got that talent. Incredibly difficult to make a living out of it though.
Our daughter did her degree in stage set and costume design at Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts. Awarded her degree by Paul McCartney in person. The chance of her making a living out of it was remote at best and she’s a technology teacher. Does some stuff for amateur companies in her spare time.

That was incredible, never realised just how talented Matt Lucas is, really enjoyed that.

Nice to see a cultured thread for a change.
We saw it in Cardiff a couple of years ago,my mate from Baglan’s daughter had a lead role in it.

Mrs. Mute and I met at rehearsals for a musical show in Swansea about 53 years ago. I was playing a member of a band and she was in the chorus. I’ve mentioned previously about her telling me (correctly, I might add) that I was playing a wrong chord in Sylvia by Focus.
Amateur dramatics is a brilliant excuse for being over the top in life, although I was always the quiet guy, and theatre in general is such brilliant entertainment. Glad to hear that many on the forum are enjoying other genres other than pop, rock or even jazz. 😁
