Fulton has another year left and is settled here. It's why he wasn't going to uproot himself just because Martin didn't want him last season. Would have backed himself to outlast the manager. No one else will pay him even half what he gets with us.

We can't afford to give managers everything they want. Few clubs at this level can. Wigan are failing to pay player wages and Sheff Utd are struggling to delay going into administration and getting a points deduction. Half the league up to their eyeballs in unmanageable debts. And yet today many of our fans are chanting Yanks Out because they wouldn't throw a million quid a year at Cyrus Christie to "show ambition". Fantasy world is right.

This is likely but what I think will happen is - we beat Brizzol tomorrow and Russ gets until summer and then we'll have a clear out.
