Lowe and Ayew

Both in need of a rest

Both victims of our lack of real depth up front

We don't need to play them every week - Whittaker, Hourihane and Arriola can be used on rotation

Lowe was abit better tonight, but yeah definitely needs a rest, Ayew looks a shadow of what he was last season, I suppose he’s playing because we’re paying him 80K a week, I am all for giving Whittaker a run out from the start Saturday, but Stevie Coops won’t.

Try telling that to cooper.

Two non-natural strikers struggling to find the net. Work hard though. I'd be happier with one decent CF than the pair of them, but they're hard to find and we haven't got one at the moment.

lowe is a lovely player. Retains the ball, runs the channels. Ayew on the other hand ffs

Lowe's miss after about 30 mins was appalling, and summed up his current state of mind. At least he put a shift in. Ayew was absent without leave throughout the match. He needs dropping, maybe Coops can appeal to his sense of pride that way.

They can’t play together, no understanding, when was the last time they passed a ball to each other. Lowe was better today but Cooper has to try a different combination just to give the team a chance because the ball does not stick up top.

Shocking wasn't it. He got himself in a lovely position later on too and curled it wide of the post. From pretty much exactly the same position Dan James buried one in the top corner. That's the difference. Narrow margins though.

I do like him though. But he needs help and he's not getting it at the moment. Ayew is anonymous. For the money I suspect we're paying him, he's sh*t actually.

Ayew never has been a team player first time here in PL and now, he never quite fits in.

Works hard?

Ayew defo doesn’t seem to be working too hard at the moment

Neither are going to get you a hatful of goals, but Ayew should definitely be scoring more than he has. Add in to that our midfield doesn't get many goals either and it's something that i think will cost us before the season is finished. Think out of the top 6 we have the least threatening forward line. Toney and pukki have scored more goals combined than the whole of our team so far this season.

They look in need of a rest. We’ve suddenly stopped controlling games and dominating possession, so they use up their energy tracking back or trying to compete for high or long balls which they will never win. It’s a long old season and still a third of games to go. Squad rotation often disrupts the flow but I think it is a necessity now.

That was very unlucky and a fine effort. A foot or so to the left and we'd have all been creaming ourselves and it would have done him the world of good. He'll have another streak at some point. I'd keep him in the team 100%.

Ayew...I was a bit shocked at the number of times I shouted 'oh just f**k off' at the telly. He was garbage...again. Even the dog was growling when he got the ball be the end.

Drop him FFS Cooper. You can always bring him on after 65 mins.

What’s all this rest nonsense?

They’ll have plenty of time to rest in May.
