They've spent over 8 million.. Williams has a worse win % than Duff.. it's like a parallel universe on here.. am I the only one who's sane on hereAnother message to the board:
Luke Williams confirms Swansea interest in forward who slipped through fingers
The Swans boss says the club missed out on a move for the winger, who instead joined Oxford United over the summerwww.walesonline.co.uk
Publicly stating the club won't compete with newly promoted from league 1 sides (one with no huge financial clout) for players.
This won't last long.

Have you ever heard of "net spend"?They've spent over 8 million.. Williams has a worse win % than Duff.. it's like a parallel universe on here.. am I the only one who's sane on here
They've still spent the money. The owners have shied away from the operating model.Have you ever heard of "net spend"?
Look into it.
I agree with the wastage aspect but you can't just go chucking around random (and imo not accurate) figures about for money spent out on players, without taking into account what's also coming in.They've still spent the money. The owners have shied away from the operating model.
Just wasted it on what appeared to be inferior players.
Facts are facts, just because you don't like them doesn't mean you can ignore them. The club have spent money raised from selling other players.I agree with the wastage aspect but you can't just go chucking around random (and imo not accurate) figures about for money spent out on players, without taking into account what's also coming in.
It also fails to reflect that transfer monies is completely separate to your wage structure. If you're only offering League One wages - which we're strongly rumoured to be doing these days - then you ain't going to get or retain many Championship level players. Common sense.
Exactly - so this narrative that the owners have just coughed up £8m (not that that figure is true, but let's pretend) out of their own pocket, for Luke to spend badly (even though we all know it's Watson who spent it), all of it is absolute nonsense. The club have spent money raised from selling other players.
Just an observation, your posts tend to contain a lot of whataboutery.Exactly - so this narrative that the owners have just coughed up £8m (not that that figure is true, but let's pretend) out of their own pocket, for Luke to spend badly (even though we all know it's Watson who spent it), all of it is absolute nonsense.
Can't argue with thatJust an observation, your posts tend to contain a lot of whataboutery.
The club have spent roughly eight million on players, none of us will know the exact figure. I don't think anyone has ever suggested it has come from their own pocket.
The transfer committee signed the players based on this data led approach (I believe) with the input of the manager you'd like to think.
Apart from a small minority of people on this forum, most people believe Williams is currently underachieving in his role as manager no matter what hand he's been dealt with players.
We finished the game on Saturday without a recognised striker on the pitch due to the managers tactical changes, let that sink in. Why on earth would you have Grimes, Franco and Allen on the pitch when you're chasing a goal and Cullen and Viptonik withdrawn from the play.
