• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Do we gain from this money wise

Did we pay off his contract or continued to pay until he got another job (not at Bristol Airport)

You would surely never just pay off a whole future contract in full (if nowt else, at least because time value of money). It will either be commuted amount or, more likely, staged payments that will be offset by future employment income. In essence he can’t be contractually disadvantaged by us, if he opts to take a new post, except by a difference in value, as he couldn’t have done both jobs.

That said, I know nothing 🤣. So not said with any certainty. It was Colehole that was in the saddle, after all.

Another team to watch with interest to see if peanut bonce has learned anything.

Good luck to him, always struck me as a decent enough fella.

Always struck me as "Diet Russy" to be honest. Quick with the easy PR wins but a different side on display when challenged, and the whole WBA situation reflects very poorly on his character.

His last two non-Notts County jobs outside non-league have both ended in the sack. He'll have to show a lot more than he ever previously has as a manager to avoid making it three.

This gig is to posh for Williams.. give him a few months he will be looking at the Norwich job..

He is an affable enough chap. He is also fascinating to listen to. I used to watch his interviews in the Vanarama/Notts County days with puzzled entrallment. Hes one of a kind. Bon Chance Luke.
