• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Good move for him, doesn’t look an easy club to manage at the moment, Peterborough. Rock bottom of League One. He should do well there, wasn’t completely hopeless down here until that West Brom mess.
The mess was in place before the WBA link, he clearly pushed for that job.
My guess, he knew his job became alot tougher when the takeover to the current board got the green light.

He done a decent enough job with us up until around about October/November last year.

Always struck me as "Diet Russy" to be honest. Quick with the easy PR wins but a different side on display when challenged, and the whole WBA situation reflects very poorly on his character.

His last two non-Notts County jobs outside non-league have both ended in the sack. He'll have to show a lot more than he ever previously has as a manager to avoid making it three.
Good luck to him, things didn't work out with us, no ill feeling towards the bloke on my behalf.

When Williams seemed to have got us firing on all cylinders, I think around the time we played QPR at home, all the West Brom stuff blew up and it all turned into a complete disaster. Once his head had been turned it all went pear-shaped. I hope he succeeds, especially at the weekend. I hope he gets his team inspired enough to destroy the Bluebirds.

I wish him well, but he did not pull up trees here. Even when it was going relatively well, it was not amazing. And by the end he'd completely lost the plot.

I'm not sure about his fit for Peterborough, aren't they supposed to prefer being really attacking and open? Don't think they'll get that with him. Not based on his time here anyway.

QPR at home had nothing to do with him. It was the Quorum wot dun it guv.

I'll be interested to see how he gets on there. Don't really have any animosity towards him, it just didn't work out here. He was a shell of a man those final few months here, it's nice to see him with a smile on his face and some colour in his cheeks..

Hopefully a big new manager bounce for that 1st game in charge Saturday💪

Not a fan of a drive down the memory lane. Didn't work out for us, all the best for him in the future. Next.

As a person he’s a lovely guy. Why our so called “fans” were giving him stick, for working at Bristol airport and helping people, is anyone’s guess.
I will watch his tenure at Peterborough with interest.
