How could he have simultaneously broke and yet built something? He was fine, but hamstrung with average players.

• Stoic solid defence
• Proper fans spirit, Hwyl and enjoyment
• Never say die commitment til the end

Built HIS :

• CV on the back of possession stats and spin - the same schpiel that bamboozled some of our twpest fanboys

His ‘average players’ unshackled themselves from his misguided ways, told him to bin his Plan A and went on a winning run.

Back on topic though - Luke, in comparison seems the real deal…..

How can it be premature to say right now that Luke seems to be the real deal relative to his predecessor(s).
Have you not witnessed what most of us have ?

The Oli McB reports over the past 14 months are not premature reports that he’s been a target and was a gnat’s nut away from returning except for an 11th hour reverse from the blades (with the consequent switch to Grant which thankfully also fell through).

Hearing and learning that there’s growing concern that Luke is reverting to Martinball and his twisted selfish ways.
Under pressure it seems we clam up, recycle ad infinitum to protect our stats - a la Martinwang.
All in a bid to ramp up the stats to bolster and enhance the CV - Martin MK II.

Is Martin’s failed playbook being replayed ?

Brendan will be walking the plank if he surrenders the title to Rangers in the next couple of months, he's under enormous pressure at the moment because of the way he's setting the side up to play even against the weakest the SPL has to offer.

Hard to compare his record to that of Luke Williams though is the point. Brendan, whatever he does up there now has earned his spurs in the best PL clubs and has held his own there.
