Turns out that one of the two people killed (not including the attacker) was accidentally shot dead by the police. That’s…unfortunate.

From what I read, the innocent guy accidentally shot by police was holding the door closed against the attacker and took a bullet through the door. If this is correct, I'm amazed the police fired at the attacker with the risk of hitting worshippers on the other side of the door. At least aim low for his legs to minimise the chance of collateral damage. Don't they get training on this kind of thing?

Must be awful for the officers concerned, I was going to say earlier, but I was waiting to find out all about it, but at the moment it’s looking pretty amateur to end up hitting and killing another. But who knows what runs through anyone’s mind, when you suspect someone has a bomb.

Absolutely awful. 😞

I'd imagine their training is second to none. It's a high pressure situation, again in which they are highly trained, they literally have seconds to process the situation and act. Not a job that anyone could do. The guy was potentially carrying explosives. Did they know someone was behind the door, theres a million questions to be answered, and I assume there will be a full investigation. It's a really tragic situation for all involved.

People don’t like common sense so stop talking common sense. ✋🏻

Yes, I agree, my initial reaction when this was on the news, I just thought change the angle of the shot, I would think what they did, was an instant reaction to nullify a threat. No doubt it will come out.

It is second to none, I've seen them train many times.
You have a split second to decide what to do with a bloke who looks like he's got a bomb strapped to him. Take his legs and he presses the button. Not a decision I would like to make.
The ammo they use goes through wooden doors, cars and even brick walls. The movies are bullshit.
