• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Martin - please god, NO!!

I don't think it'll happen, but if it does (and I'm not usually one for hyperbole), my heart will sink in the same way it would after a relegation. It was a huge relief when he left - and the thought of having to endure his suicide tappy PowerPoint football for one game let alone a season ahead, would be incredibly depressing.

Imagine the fanfare of his return too.

Everything that will come out of his mouth, all the content from the club.

I feel physically sick at the thought

I can see his smug face saying 'unfinished business' in the press conference already.

If he gets the job that's me finished feel sick even thinking about it.

Just can't happen please no no no.

Surely his pathetic attempt at keeping Southampton in the Prem.
Then the worse Rangers manager in their history.

The fans stopped the team bus leaving .

Then chuck in the passing along the back and the borefest of his pressers it don't bear thinking about.

Please Adam if you are reading this don't do it.

He had such a good relationship with the journalists last time he was here, surely the tone of the media wouldn't be "according to the bookies" - it would be a bit more solid than that?

Or am I just clutching at straws?

Fuck off Russ.
Then fuck off again and then again just to make sure.
Then take a very small step back in our direction just so that you can fuck right off again.

And don't forget to fuck off.

Leaving aside Martin's history here, I wonder what his fans would think if it was suggested our manager be someone else with this kind of record:

- Started his career in L1, achieving 19th and 13th place finishes.
- Moves to the Championship and achieves 15th and 10th place finishes.
- Moves to a newly relegated PL team and finishes 3rd, winning promotion through the playoffs. Had a 25-game unbeaten run during the season.
- Is sacked midway through the subsequent season, with 1 win in 16 matches and threatening Derby's record as worst PL team ever.
- Is appointed manger of one of the two big Scottish teams, only to become their shortest-serving manager in history, sacked with them 8th in the league.

No sensible fans are going to welcome the appointment of a manager with 1 good season and 6 average to poor seasons under his belt.
