• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Just had a quick look. 48 games played in the league so a good barometer of where we are.

He's won 9 games out of 24 at home, 8 draws and 7 losses. Average points return of 1.45.

Away from home won 7 out of 24, 6 draws and 11 losses. Average points return of 1.125.

Our home form over that period is around 18th, away roughly 16th.

Is it good enough? Not just talking about this season but with the quality he has in that team, is it enough?

The squad is better than a 15th placed position.

It's the home form statistic that stands out, most teams must now have us sussed when the visit; they know that we will have wide men far up the pitch, they know that we have limited pace at the back, they know that we have players out of position. So sit back, soak it up, wait for the misplaced pass high up pitch and then unleash the counter.

Therefore no, not enough, on multiple fronts.

Nowhere near good enough.

He’s made a rod for his own back.

He’s not up to it.

He’s a very silly man unfortunately.

He's actually made the squad not look good enough to finish even 15th the way he expects them to play.

That's the first time I've looked at his stats.
Truthfully, I think he's had a better overall squad, than cooper had, once you take a few players out the equation.

Those stats are depressing and a long way from being safe mid table to play off area.

When you consider that he had Joel Piroe (24 goals in his first season), Obafemi (13 or so in the second half of the season) Paterson (8 and same in assists), a midfielder which he believes is one of the best in the league along with the ability to sign two Premier League defenders on loan and a number of other signings then it isn't good enough.

He wanted Fisher, he got Fisher. He wanted Darling, he's got Darling. Okay there.might be others he couldn't have but he's been reasonably well backed
