Going to show some ignorance now so does winning the group mean that we have a guaranteed play off spot for WC qualifying should we fail to get through our qualification group

And next Nations League we will be in Group A?

Wales will be in the 2022 World Cup play-offs unless two or more of Italy, Belgium, France and Spain fail to qualify for the tournament or play-offs next year.

Wales are promoted to Group A of the next round of Nations League.

Cheers, thank you

How to make International football less interesting and fan friendly: make the qualification stages bloody complicated.

I get that they're trying to make it seem a bit more competitive, but I genuinely have no idea what these groups mean, who qualifies from those groups (I read a post somewhere about 4 of the 5 teams in a group going 'through'? - through to what though, no clue).

England lost last week meaning that they couldn't go into something, although they haven't failed to qualify (as far as I'm aware)...

Jeez. Nothing wrong with group system. It's boring, yes, but qualification to a tournament isn't generally exciting.

Wales top our group, yay! We get promoted to group A, yay! Errr...have we qualified or what?

Am I the only one that couldn’t give a shit?
I have no interest in international football and won’t be watching.

You missed a treat, a marvellous performance by Wales. :D
