Home games against Reading and Watford. This could be a real pivotal week of the season.

How many points will we get?

Fancy 4. Watford looked good tonight, think Reading still have a few players out so that would be the game where we need to get the win.

Can’t remember the last time we won three in a row mine, start of last season?

If you include the play offs then the last two league games of last season plus the first leg against Brentford

Knew some smart arse would bring that up

God you get the feeling you can't affords to slip up too many times - it's tight at the top.

The new pitch should give a psychological boost, and its investment a vote of confidence in Cooper and the players. That's the way they should see it anyway! Hopefully Cullen tests negative, or if not hopefully he will be OK and not have infected too many other players. Yes, a big week indeed.

You can always rely on me

To be fair, whatever I think of how we are doing it, we are doing it, and you have to take your hat off to that.

One point alone would give us 40 at half way, which is a fabulous position to be in mid season, so I am totally relaxed about these two games as long as we get that ‘point’. I don’t see home or away making any difference to us, especially with a new pitch, so i wouldn’t see it as particularly worrying to lose to Watford, who have better players than us. Reading on the other hand, i think are not all that, and I’d be disappointed not to do them. So three points would make me happy, four would be a superb return.

I mean, come on, leaving aside the almost total lack of anything much that could be described as decent football in 90% of the games, would I have bitten your hand off for 40 points and the most easy, relaxed and comfortable crapdiff win I’ve seen? Yep.

My new year wish is the same again second half, but maybe try some passing and not rely on the opposition to miss all the time. If it has to be a choice, I’ll take gunt it, luck, an easy home derby win and another 40 points. Sort out the other stuff later.

If we want to really be considered as automatic promotion contenders, 4 points has to be the aim. Wouldn’t be disappointed with 3, but I think we have to at least draw with Watford to show that we can mix it with that calibre of team.

Will take 4pts any day of the week, also, with FA Cup weekend on the 8th there's a good chance MGW will be back for Barnsley away, or perhaps even a 20 minute cameo against Stevenage 🤔🙏

Looking a bit further ahead, our next four home games are massive.

- Reading (sixth)
- Watford (fifth)
- Brentford (fourth)
- Norwich (first)

How we get on in these four games will probably define our season.

Watford, Reading, Brentford, Cardiff, Stoke etc, much of a muchness

Norwich, Bournemouth, slightly different gravy
