Potter is sniffing. Matty probably knew that was going to happen so might explain why the Fulham thing is playing out so slowly.

I agree. I think if Potter went in for him, we'd lose him. Grimes wished he could have worked with Potter more. As you say, hope he stays.

Please Mr. Potter, come and get him! It is now clear that if he goes, we will replace him, and will end up paying lower wages. There is no doubt in my mind that whatever fee we get for him, he would be worth less than that to us - time to say goodbye
