Well they cant remove captaincy really, and as captain a duty is to do media interviews
so yeah...
you may be right about the new contract but until that happens he'll be gone once theres a suitable bid for him

That’s just a message for potential buyers. Winter wouldn’t state that we were reliant on Grimes being sold to fund future transfers even if that was the case.

We’ll he won’t be if he has to do it on his own. We need Grimes +1 or or if Grimes goes, +2.

It obvious. We’ve had Leon and Martinez, Leon and Joe, Leon and JdG, Grimes and Fer ……. what steady midfield partner has Grimes had in the last couple of years? Fulton is a ball winning attack minded midfielder and will always join attack rather than hold, which he’s very good at IMO, but we’ve missed a midfield axis since Potter’s early days. We always do better in possession when we have two deep midfield playmakers that can both hold and attack in turns.

Have we got any other player with the ability to get the ball under the pressure Grimes is there. We need to get this boy tied down in my opinion. We need players that compliment him alongside, hopefully the Ipswich lad can do that, and Garner if we can get him with our own Dan Williams also. Smith will be on the sidelines for a few months I reckon.
