This season? with alarming regularity, I don't have the numbers but it has been every week since at least December

3 incidents in one batch of 3pm kickoffs alone today suggests it has to be more than a policy change.

I think you’d be surprised … I can remember a number of occasions over the last few years of fans being taken ill down the Swans and paramedics needing to take them away, but game doesn’t stop so no fuss made.

I’d imagine over the 90 odd games played each weekend you’d get 2 or 3 cases a week of people falling ill during games.

I’ve seen it many many times between the Vetch and the dot com.
Loads of times.

So it’s not people dropping like flies because of Covid vaccines then?

As some on here will know, my Son collapsed & died at 20 yo in 2001.
He was physically fit, played sport didn't smoke & rarely had a drink.

No Covid then or Covid vaccines, so I think it has always been happening but maybe more publicised now since the pandemic

❤️❤️❤️

am 65 now, when i was 14 played in a match , game was halted as one of the opposition player had collapsed , he was taken to hospital but sadly passed away that night, aged 12 , never forget it as i had befriended the boy , so sadly these events have been happening long before covid, its only nowadays we hear about it as the press use it as a story.

I'm having my fourth covid jab on Monday.

Should I be worried?

I wasn’t aware of that. I’m so sorry. I cannot imagine how you and your family have suffered.

How are you these days Col? Do you still go to an occasional game, you know where we are if you fancy a pint before a game.

Hi Rog, Good thanks.

I haven't been to a game for a couple of years now especially with the Covid issues but when I do then we will definitely meet for a beer 👍. I enjoy reading this & the indy site, watching your sparkling repartee with Perch/Ohl 😂

The reason I posted this was to remind people that incidents like this have been happening since time immemorial,it's not a new phenomenon, just more publicised & the anti vacc brigade are all over it.

It's been almost 21 years since Mark died so the pain is still there but just as a permanent dull ache now.

Good to chat & hope to see you,Rob & Alison soon 🍻

Had my booster last Monday and only now feeling like my normal self. I was the same after the first one. I'm getting to the point where I'm actually done with them now (i never have a flu jab so don't want this to be an annual thing) . I had covid in October was rough for about 3/4 days with a cough which I never suffer with but got through it fine.

I'm 31, gym it every other day and does corcern me the amount of people I've talked to who say they still don't feel right after the vaccine. The trouble is we have a society now where its so split. The anti vaxers who think it's not a thing and then people who are terrified to leave their own home. I made a conscious decision when I had covid to not watch any news and I haven't since and feel much better for it.

Without a statistical comparison of incidents pre and post covid, then I don't think anyone can dismiss it as normal.

It's also equally dangerous to just wave it off without concern.
