One of my all time favourite Swans players

Enjoyed reading that, seems like an age ago but Michu will always be remembered by those who saw him play.

Undoubtedly the most talented player I have ever seen in a Swans shirt in 56 years of supporting the club.

Now that I'm living in the country and have picked up a bit of the lingo, once all this covid shyte has died down, I intend to take a tour up to the northern part of Spain. I plan to drop him a line and ask him if I can call in to see him, maybe get a shirt autographed or something, and get a photo together. That would be fab, and one in the eye for Darran!

Only joking, Daz.

Could never understand why the club management allowed him to kick the advertising boards after he scored. Couldn't have done his ankles any good .

The QPR away game was stuff of dreams. I still get goose pimples when I watch the highlights.

I've thought about doing this in the past. How about a group of Jacks having a Michu pilgrimage to include meeting him and taking in an Oviedo game.? I'd fly over from Poland 😀

Spot on we were looking around in shock at how good he was that day - always remember a QPR fan to our left in full Mexican outfit (poncho, sombrero, maracas the works) living it large early on & then putting his gear into a carrier bag & sliding off very quietly after about 75 mins.

One of my favourite away days from the PL era

Very hot day as well!

Great memories!

If I remember rightly we weren't even top at the end of that day - think Chelsea beat someone 5-0 at home (maybe Fulham?)

I think it was Fulham beating someone else. I’d shown my Mrs the live league table and told her that we’d won the league, and then they scored in the last minute.
