Mini ovens

I thought the majority of commercial premises like offices schools etc are concerned about electrical equipment that has not been PAT tested being used in their premises.

I'd find it hard to believe a decent branded item would not be safe but using it if it hadn't been tested could land you in bother.

I'm guessing plugging in your own mobile phone charger is probably ok as they don't draw much current but a mini oven probably does.

New equipment doesn’t need to undergo portable appliance testing. Accepted that some companies / organisations request it though (overkill).

To be sold in this country it'll have undergone rigorous design and testing - CE Marking / Kitemark etc. Personally I wouldn't leave it on when you're not around, but that'd be my only concern

I had a job once PAT testing in the Doctors accommodation at NPT hospital - you wouldn't believe the filth some of them live in

By taking in on premises you're essentially agreeing to allow them to PAT test it the next time one is carried out
