• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Came up on my twitter feed as well. Just so sad. He seemed like a lovely guy. No words can express his passing.

I never knew this chap but he just oozes the vibe of being one of life’s good guys. Faced with adversity from an early age he has fought with all his might. Extremely sad to read the events around his passing.

Rest in peace brave young man.

COOPER DEDICATES NORWICH WIN TO MITCHELL POWELL

Source: Swansea Official Site

Steve Cooper dedicated Swansea City’s win over Norwich City to the memory of Mitchell Powell, after the Swans fan sadly passed away earlier this week.

The East Stand season ticket holder died after a lifelong battle with a heart condition, and was renowned for his charity fundraising efforts, and was close to a number of staff at the club.

And, following the 2-0 victory over the Canaries, head coach Cooper opened his post-match press conference by paying tribute to him.

“I would like to dedicate the result to Mitchell Powell,” said Cooper.

“We have lost one of the Jack Army in awful, tragic circumstances, and as a football club our heart goes out to the family.

“We wish them well, and if there is anything we can do for them then we will do our best.

“That is at the forefront of the club’s mind, so I am really pleased on that front that we won the game.”

Oli Mcburnie offering to pay for the funeral, fair play to him.

Great turnout yesterday though I can’t understand the lack of masks.
