• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Can't see any issue with the topic, why do you see it as an issue? A valid question.

Would he say the same about women or children, or dogs? Probably never thinks of it, the fact it's an issue in his head indicates a problem

What? Too many children in adverts? Too many women??

It maybe in his head because he's part of mixed marriage and he doesn't see many others in the same situation where he lives, that way he notices that there are many mixed marriages shown in adverts which he doesn't see in real life.

Its a valid question and not as I assume that you think (if not I apologize) that it a racist question.

Too many people jump on the racist thing and see racism everywhere, even where there is none.

Where did he say he felt uncomfortable?

He didn't, this topic suggests it does

How?

I don't see him being uncomfortable with it.

I notice it but like your good self don't post about it, I'm sure he isnt bothered just like me and you.

Yes, it is a racist thing to say and that is what I was getting at. If he's in a mixed marriage, then i'm from mars.

So you think he's lying? Why?

What if I said I'm in a mixed marriage, would I be lying or would it be that you just don't know and assume.

I have explained why, i'm not doing it over and over. If you started a topic like this I would call you out just as much as I would anyone on here.

There are a handful of people on here whose word I would take as being true, none of them are backing him up. My point has been made.

If anybody deserves an apology its Blackpool jack 😁

Blimey ive started a bit of a shit storm here, i'd like to thank my friend FB for his support, Monty I'm as far from a rascist you you could possibly be, and it may well be the case that because im in a MM that i do tend to spot these things, all i was saying in my OP was that the advert makers seem to feel that to sell their products they need to appeal to as many different races as they can and by having a mixed race couple that would do the trick eg. Dormeo mattreses uses a white/asian family do Dormeo think they would not sell as many units if the advert only featured an asian couple. You see Monty where you were thinking i was complaining that there were too many non whites in adverts i was stating the opposie, Magandang umaga kamusta ka.

Interesting point there -people 'lost their shit' over the black family in the Sainsbury's Christmas 'Gravy' advert. You are right, there are many mixed couples-eBay for example, but rarely a Black or Asian family/couple.

Fair enough, then i'm the one that looks like a tit. Not the first time and won't be the last time :D My apologies to you and fireboy. 123 is still a muppet though.
