• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Had a gander at their MB a few times over the past week or 2 since the links with O’Riley, Darling etc. We’re really living in their heads rent free. Already taken their goalkeeper and linked with 2-3 of their best players. They’re really not fans of our Russell either, which is strange because they were desperate for him not leave in the summer. It reminds me of some of our fans when we were a small club and Martinez left for Wigan and took Jason Scotland with him. There are a few clubs I’ve gained respect for over the years, and there have been some I’ve come to dislike, MKD’s were in neither of these brackets, but now I find myself wanting them to slip down the leagues, possibly dissolving in to obscurity. Fairly entitled bunch of fans considering I’ve got furniture older than their club 🙄

We did quite a shady move on them in the summer, which we wouldn't be happy with if it happened to us. But losing, on the very eve of the season, a manager who, despite doing quite a bit of passing, had only taken them to mid-table, and taking a few of their players to boot, pales into insignificance when compared to buying an established club and uprooting them miles away from their home which would take a good hour and a half to get to by car, and even more of a nightmare to get to if you're a city slicker reliant on public transport. Compared to that, what we did is nothing.

Maybe this is very naive of me, but I don't think we would be actively trying to rip apart their whole squad if it wasn't for the chants regarding Martin's wife in their final game vs Bournemouth, he took that badly I think, as many others would and left with no loyalty whatsoever.

How can anyone respect MK Dons after how they were formed?

We were definitely much the same with martinez and Scotland etc. Cant blame them really. Its not much fun having the guts stripped out of your club
