Seems that, as a club, we're calling him back from his loan. However, reading Martin's interview on the matter, it's clear as day that he's not in agreement with the hierarchy's decision. If he gets picked to play it will probably be about the biggest surprise of the season. Seems if Martin doesn't like you, he doesn't like you. If I was in Whittaker's shoes I'd rather stay put at a club that truly values you. Power struggle anyone?

Cooper or Rooney didn’t rate him either, but I guess that’s Martins fault as well?

At the end of the day if your the manager and a player isn’t listening or understanding what your asking them to do how do you expect them to be in the team?

If that's the case then he wouldn't be the first player to not listen and get binned, maybe what the manager is saying it's a load of shite, if his press conferences are anything to go by then I think that's the case.

I’m no supporter of Martin but it’s not a good sign when any manager has players thrust upon him by the club. I am of the view that the manager should always have a veto on players. If the club hierarchy don’t agree with the way that the manager is operating they should have the courage of their convictions and sack him.

Argyle are top of League 1. The lad's playing out of his skin by all accounts. My point is, it's a no win for us and definitely a no win for him. He's obviously not going to play, can't be good for his career, and not much use to us.

If he becomes one of the main factors in Plymouth's promotion, which at the moment appears to be the case, there will be clubs looking at him as a decent acquisition and his value is likely to peak in May so if he has no future at Swansea, it would make far more sense to leave him at Argyle, let him help them to promotion and then sell him. Having him back at Swansea playing in the stiffs or sitting on our bench is no good for us, or Plymouth or the player. Stupid decision all round.

Saturday will be interesting and I guess we’ll know more where he stands with us, if Martin starts or brings him on he can’t leave us then as he can’t play for 3 clubs in the same season, whereas if he’s unused he is clearly being kept to sell.

“We’ve had bids for two of our players – one of those is Morgan.

“With that in mind, Morgan won't be involved at the weekend with that hanging over his head. I’ve been really pleased with him since he’s come back, but the reality is that if he plays one minute for us, he can’t go to that club."

But of course he wasn't brought back to sell.

Wonder if the Whittaker bid is from Plymouth again.

It was obvious from Martin that he didn't want him back and was never going to play for us again. I can see this coming back to bite us in the ass.

If its Plymouth then the "if he plays one minute for us he cant go" line wouldnt apply.
That bid has come from another club

Ipswich Plymouth this weekend, maybe he’s asked not to have the transfer agreed this weekend out of respect to Plymouth, probably not but might be that.

I just drove past Whittaker down Morfa walking his dog.

So basically he could play for us and then go back and play for Plymouth? It's only three different clubs he can't play for?

Yes, but the rumours of Ipswich in for him the other day seem to be spot on.

He's far better than Ipswich right now.

He has shown how he now deserves to step up to a better Club and better young manager to properly fulfil his undoubted latent talents. He's earned the right.

And as Darran posted elsewhere, someone like Corberan at West Brom would be perfect, for both. Someone who likes to play exciting, attacking go-fwd. And someone who won't pick him at Left back away, against a top tier team and then throw him under a bus.

(the fact his girlfriend and family are lifelong Baggies fanatics may also have a bearing, allegedly, by all accounts).
