What's happened is that the Yanks tried to play the Boss and have had their pants pulled down and not for the first time, they tried the big bluff and got bluffed out, Rangers knew Whittaker wanted the move so there was no way they were gonna pay anymore than they wanted to pay.
Martin wanted Ogbene, Yanks weren't gonna stump up and pay the necessary for him, so brought Whittaker back after instead, then Rangers who had obviously made contact, if that had worked out they may well have gone for Ogbene.
Can't see Martin being very happy with the cards he's been given this January, that's the last 3 mangers that have been kicked up the hoop after being promised signing's.
