I came out of Swansea magistrates court one afternoon, and saw there was a bit of a commotion going on with a lot of police about. I walked over and got to the front of the barriers, when along came Lady Diana, she shook my hand and whispered "Eddie Mays wife is a lesbian" and continued on her way. Beautiful woman.

The Queen gave me the vicks as she passed when I was standing outside the Ferryman having a spliff with Boccy.

I met Alvin Lee from Ten Years After at a gig in the Rank. I was standing upstairs watching the support act with my mate and we started chatting with this guy, and after a while he left. When TYA came on stage my mate and I looked at each other and said “the guy we were talking to , that’s him”. We didn’t realise at the time. He was a tidy guy, and a superb guitarist.
