Seems strange to leave a band which is presumably making you rich because you got hammered on Twitter. Just close your Twatter account and get on with your life. If you're asked about it in an interview, just refuse to comment.

I don't understand the view that he won't 'self-censor' and so has to leave the band. I'm in no doubt there are celebrities who like things that would shock the majority of the world, so they keep that information private.

I'd guess there's more going on with his leaving than what's been said.
