Nathan Wood Gordon

Had a fine game on Sunday and even turned into Messi for a fantastic run at one point.

Will undoubtedly improve and could become an "asset".

He’s a 20year old centre half playing regular championship football. He’s also being asked to play a certain style of football that, for better or worse, has no comfort zones. This season will be invaluable to his progress.
I think he’s been fantastic

If it means his stock/price will go up then great. Cos atm he's worth tuppence.

He did have a much better game. Made a change for him not to receive the ball, take a stride forward, immediately stop dead, pass inside and sprint 10 yards backwards. Well done son, keep it up.

Spot on, he’s been fucking gash all season. Whether that’s down to him, or tactics who knows, but anyone who thinks he’s been anything better than poor should probably follow another sport. Had a decent game at the weekend, probably helped by the fact that Bristol didn’t look like they wanted to attack at all. Good luck to him though, he and us will only benefit from the experience.

World class defender, no surprise on the call up, well done to Russ for his expert coaching of the young man. Bravo all round.

Your right there his glowing CV will now also show Cullen and Oli being called up for Wales.
Can we hold onto him Mr Kaplan?

This is great news for all concerned, but a special well done to the player himself.

We all consider that kicking a ball around is part of an easy life; we perhaps forget the fact that he’s only twenty, has moved away from home and is operating in both a new team and at a new level.

If still in doubt then have a think about Marc Guehi.

Because all of you know better than the professionals in the game.

Why don't you try supporting the boys?

So the sum total of people 'taking the piss' out of Nathan on this thread amounts to:

- Itchy expressing surprise that England U21's have called him up. Seems fair, he's not played for them before and is part of one of the statistically worst defences in the Championship.

- A4Jack asking if he'll bring his two left feet, while also wishing him good luck and saying he's just had a great game, his best for us.

- FelindreJack expressing his surprise at the call-up and that people on Facebook are saying it's well deserved. In a later post, FJ gave the opinion he's been gash all season, but had a decent game on the weekend and wished him luck.

- Nocountryforoldjack made a tongue in cheek post about how good he is.

There's also plenty of other posts congratulating him and praising him. Not exactly the ruthless piss taking of one of our players that some are trying to paint it as, is it?

In fairness I don't think anyone has actually disrespect Nathan, in fact most are saying well done to the lad, most though are a little suprised (in a good way) that he's got an international call up, but yes, a great opportunity for the kid 👍
