Flew into Stockholm earlier having regrettably missed the match and the passport entry queues at Arlanda Airport were very lengthy. Took 90 minutes to process a plane of 120 passengers, with 4 booths open.

Fingerprints, photos which are a new EU rule.

Load of bollocks from the EU. If you are going to illegally enter it is highly unlikely you will do so on a BA flight from Heathrow to Arlanda where the security at the British end is equally tight.

Ironically, there were two Eurocrats on the flight who were fast tracked through passport control so they didn't have to endure their ridiculous rules.

This biometric stuff is a direct result of Brexit and the deal Boris agreed with the EU, we are now a “third country” and have to comply. It’s my understanding it’s a 1 off and that once you’ve provided biometrics it’ll be a lot quicker when you next visit the EU.

Our hoped for trip next year looks like it wont happen so our trip in 2027 ,and me being a dopey 75 yr old w, the Bio process will probably take as long as the holiday.....thanks a bunch the self serving Twots and Boris.

There is a phased roll out for this and it’s not yet in place everywhere; Bologna on Tuesday was still using the traditional method. Will see what Vienna is like tomorrow.

Let’s hope that the IT infrastructure is up to the task. Lag in the system coupled with lethargic immigration staff won’t make for a pleasant experience.

They had to is system when I came back from holiday about ten days ago. Passport in machine, finger print one finger and photo taken all at the same time. No issues bar a couple of seconds for one or two people that couldn’t grasp it.

This makes me sad 😔
Sad, angry. I know it drives you mad because it’s the elephant in the room.

We are stuck in this strange limbo situation where everyone knows the truth (including many Brexit supporters) but we can’t speak the truth because that upsets some.

You think people who advocated for it for years/decades would love talking about it. Funny they don’t isn’t it.

Literally everything it has promised has gone in opposite direction:

Less red tape - way more!

Less immigration - way more!

More freedom - massive increase in bureaucracy

Splintering of the Union

Global laughing stock

Investment down

Honestly it’s crazy when you think about it. But the chancers have got away with it because the people who know the truth are not on the pitch. They’ve just let them control the narrative.

How the fuck is Nigel Farage ahead in the polls?!!! Ahead?!!!! No man has done more damage to this Country since the luftwaffe.

If we lived in a true democracy with a population that is overwhelmingly aware of the facts these reform charlatans would be chased out of town. Not the immigrants who in many cases are keeping the Country afloat!!!
